Like most software, CICERO is constantly evolving. We have weekly updates, so you can quickly apply these new features in your organization and benefit from the improvements of the system.

If your office is still using Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010, we recommend you to update to Office 2013/2016. Then you have the opportunity to use all the new features that CICERO has to offer. Ask your IT department for bargain prices.

HOME

– Dashboard added with various KPIs; last selected type of dashboard will be remembered. – Timers added to Search and Favorites window.

REPORTS

– 047 added: Balance disbursements. – 005: now shows a list of the same period a year earlier. TASKS

– Modified functionality regarding question about maintaining document after removing task (visual). – Button added (at recalls) to request all already booked future calendar tasks.

DMS

– Batch import now also features PDF/XLSX preview.

MATTERS

– Added option which also shows the correspondence address and appropriate billing address of the parties (if invoicing participation on case).

Since a few weeks we have a new feature on the Dashboard of CICERO. Click the button KPI OVERVIEW at the top and you enter the overview of your KPI’s. Here you can see all important data, such as tasks and targets, displayed in charts nice and clearly.

At the top you see the tasks, calendar tasks, notifications and tasks to check. By clicking the task or notification it will be displayed below. You open the task by clicking it.

You can also see the office performances, your own performances and an annual review. The targets for this can be set in the Admin application, module Users, section Lawyer.

In the late February we were at the meeting of DIPLAD in Brussels. And we gladly share the latest developments in integration with you. The systems are fully integrated and we are ready to roll out!

For complete information data CICERO gives its users access to the National Register (RR) and the Central File of Messages (CBB). All offered use cases / scenarios of the CBB and RR integration are supported by CICERO. For retrieving business information, we do not use Graydon, the party contracted by DIPLAD, but we have been working for a while with a different provider: Companyweb.
We have a strong authentication, automatic data processing in CICERO, as well as a full integration with accounting for charging costs on a case.

In the short-term access to the DPA is made available and you can use this new feature. Within seconds you have access to reliable and important documents at any time of the day. All this included in your trusted Relations application of CICERO V10. The DPA button at the top of the Relations application gives you access to the platform.

In 2016 also the additional option ‘search a lawyer´ will be added to CICERO. You can search for lawyers directly and link them automatically to a case. Eventually, these searches have unique keys that will be used in the near future to support digital communication (inbox / outbox) with the court and confreres.

With our new feature CICERO Webview you have the possibility to give your relations insight into their cases. So your relations can, among other things, see the status and case details of open cases and create new cases. This saves not only time, but also gives your relations the feeling they are in the driving seat.


How does CICERO Webview work?

To use CICERO Webview you need to set a few things. You go to Admin – Configuration – Webview.
Besides managing the settings, licenses and memos, you can also determine the mappings and tasks which may be seen by your relations. You also see the statistics of the CICERO Webview use of your relations.


How much can my relation see?
You, as user of CICERO, are leading and you decide which data you want to show to your relations.
In Relations – Webview, section Rights you determine which information of the cases may be displayed: Tasks, Finance and/or Collection details.

At Party only the cases will be shown where the particular relations is also party in. Here you can select the desired party(s) that may be displayed to your relation. At Cases you select the cases that may be displayed to your relations. So you can, for all components separately, determine whether it can be seen by your relations.


How can your relation use CICERO Webview?

In Relations – Webview you can enter Username, Password and Status (active / inactive) for the concerning relation. The button LOGIN MAIL generates an e-mail with login information. You can send it directly to your relation.

RELATIONS
– Import VCF improved in terms of support VCF formats / versions.


MATTERS

– Search by dashboard (only ID / Name ‘) now also searches reference and the combination of name + reference.
– Search on the dashboard now has the option to search only through active / current cases.
– Change menu structure / tabs.

TASKS

– Preset ‘Tasks for me’ extended with the status ‘Completed for approval’. This shows all tasks completed by other fee earners and not yet given the status ‘for approval’ by the creator of the task.
– At ‘Tasks from me’ added the option, to set the tasks of other fee earners for final approval.
– Joblogger now shows case-history alongside favorites.


COLLECTION

– Import extended for .CLP files; bailiff (based on person ID) as an import option (at the end of the configuration rules).

ACCOUNTING

– When selecting cases closed cases now will be RED-colored in the lookup controls.
– Both positive and negative payment difference now possible when allocating financial and settlement (also for creditor and debtor).

WEBVIEW

– Displays only invoices for the case in which the debtor actually has billing participation.
– GUI responsiveness made for mobile support.


CAMPAIGNS

– Added the ability to send out a mailing directly through exchange-coupling.
– Restrictions introduced to generate an MSG object for up to 500 addresses.
– Added option to enter email subject for mailing.
– Setting ‘googleAnalyticsIDForCampaigns’ added in admin> settings. If completed this ID will be included in mailings.


DMS

– Button ‘Detail’ added to list of attachments.
– Fix regarding upload documents in previous case folder.

– For office manuals added the ability to indicate a case for which manuals are used in DMS.


GUI

– Search funtion added to changelog.

E-mail is a vital form of communication, especially in the business market. Yet research shows that employees are distracted by the continuous flow of e-mails. In addition, it takes time; approximately 28% of our working time we spend reading and sending e-mails. Is e-mail it as desirable and indispensable as we think?

Research by Mimecast found that employees spend much time on e-mails that are not business critical; only 39% of the e-mails in an inbox has business value. The work is often interrupted as soon as an e-mail arrives. 70% of the e-mails are answered within six seconds and 85% within two minutes (Jackson et al). After reading and / or replying to the e-mail it takes 64 seconds to be focused on work again. E-mail thus inhibits the productivity of the employee. But how can we adapt our e-mail usage and what are good alternatives?

First, it is advisable to open the mailbox only at fixed times, so you will not be interrupted with every new e-mail. Disable any messages from the mail program. When we look at the available alternatives, such as Skype, social media, whatsapp and telephone, it is questionable whether the problem is not shifted. These resources also provide an information overload and interrupt work.

There are certainly good alternatives for internal communications within an organization. For example you can use an accounting or CRM system to communicate. Also in CICERO LawPack you have several options. First of all, regarding the extensive workflow; tracking and see tasks of each other and creating and scheduling tasks for other users. Because of the integration with MS Office (including Exchange and Outlook) you can also exchange all agenda items and tasks. CICERO LawPack is also externally accessible as a web portal for communication / collaboration with your customer or client. In addition, through the integration with SharePoint it is possible to share, organize and manage your data online.
